CECE (Confederación Española de Centros de Enseñanza - Spanish Confederation of Education and Training Centres) is a non-profit employers´ and professional organization founded in 1977 that represents an ample educational sector in Spain. It has branches all over the Autonomous Communities via federations and associations in numerous provinces of Spain. Each one of the federations represents educational centres within regulated and non-regulated sectors. Besides, some sectoral federations like that of tourist colleges, hairdressers/beautician institutes or nursery schools also belong to CECE.
CECE´s Institute of Education Technology realizes its activities in four areas: (1) assistance in the implementation of the European Quality Assurance System in its member institutions; (2) organisation of continuing training courses for teachers and trainers; (3) implementation of technological innovation in its member institutions; (4) internationalization of the member institutions.

CECE is member of the CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Entrepreneurial Organisations) and the international organisation EFVET (European Forum for Technical and Vocational Education and Training), ESHA (European School Headmaster Association) and ECNAIS (European Council of National Associations of Independent Schools).

Due to the wide range of education and training centres the CECE represents, through its own and the member schools resources it can offer contributions to a variety of European education projects funded under the Lifelong Learning Program. The CECE has been participating in this and other European education, training and employment projects since 1996.

CECE´s educational profile has widened with the constitution of its Foundation (Fundación Ángel Martínez Fuertes) in 1996 that focuses its activities on social inclusion through training of unemployed persons, persons over 45, women, disabled persons, immigrants.
